The symposium on the topic of day surgery, held on October 18^th/19^th in Vienna, was followed with great interest. All parties involved in day surgery, from the nurse, the anesthesiologist and surgeon, to the administrative director participated in the event as speakers as well as listeners. The four live operations the second day showed how professionally, trouble-free and successfully  the Sisters of Mercy Hospital Vienna, operates day surgery under the direction of Univ. Prof. Dr. Mag. Alexander Klaus.
